NIH-Funded Opportunity at CEPM for Translational Work

The Center for Engineering and Precision Medicine (CEPM), a partnership between the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), is excited to announce its track in this year’s Mount Sinai Pitch Challenge, funded by an NIH grant.

This program helps teams advance engineering solutions to healthcare challenges in areas like immunoengineering, neuroengineering, and regenerative medicine. Teams must include investigators from ISMMS and RPI. Participants will engage in an Innovation Sprint (January 13–February 7) and Tech Launchpad (February 12–May 6). Finalists, announced at the April 24 Pitch Challenge, will win $33,000 each to develop their projects.

Applicants must be CEPM-affiliated faculty, postdocs, or PhD/MD students and submit a project plan for using awarded funds by June 30, 2024. RPI faculty interested in affiliating with CEPM should email Deepak Vashisth at [email protected].

Register by January 8, 2024, at 5:00 PM ET. Contact Natia Sharikadze at [email protected] for questions. For collaboration support, email Priti Balchandani at [email protected] or Deepak Vashisth at [email protected].
